Valencia CF have reached an agreement with BSC Young Boys for the signing of Filip Ugrinic.
The Swiss midfielder (05/01/1999) signs for the next four seasons, until 30 June 2029. A full international with his country, Filip Ugrinic stands out for his ability to have an impact on both the defensive and offensive aspects of the game, contributing playmaking and arriving in the opposition box from midfield.
At 26 years of age, he has solid experience in the Swiss Super League, where he has spent practically his entire career, as well as in international competitions such as the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League.
In the 2023/24 season, the new Valencia CF footballer was considered the best player in his country’s competition, being chosen for the team of the season by his teammates and opponents from other clubs.
Developed in the youth ranks of FC Luzern, the club where he made his professional debut and played until his transfer to BSC Young Boys in 2022 (122 matches, 15 goals and 20 assists), Ugrinic has enjoyed a remarkable career in his country, also winning domestic titles such as the Swiss Super League and the Swiss Cup, both on two occasions.
The new Valencia CF player joins the work under our coach, Carlos Corberán, and will be presented shortly to the media.
